Winter Carnival Draws Thousands To TREC

Erie`s first winter carnival at the Tom Ridge Center attracted more than two thousand people this weekend. The event included magic shows, face painting, and ice sculpting. The speed carving contest featured 2006 Olympic Gold Medalist Aaron Costic. Costic was one of a number of carvers that made about 24 masterpieces. People were also treated to interactive exhibits, and movies that include, March of the Penguins. The events runs thru tomorrow.
