New PennDOT Signage

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is making it easier for tourists to find their way around Erie this summer. PennDOT has announced its new Guideway Program. Originally sponsored by the Erie Area Council of Governments, the new program features themed signs located throughout Erie County. The signs will be placed at key locations to help visitors find their way to designated attractions and tourist destinations. The first phase will involve the signage along the Bayfront Parkway, the State Street Corridor and 38th Street destinations. In all, there will be over 180 Wayfinding signs. This project has been 2 years in the making.
