Empty Bowls Helps 2nd Harvest Food Bank

Local college students are fighting world hunger with a soup dinner. It`s the second annual empty bowls meal auction put on by students at Mercyhurst College, Meryhurst Prep, and Edinboro University. Students from social work and education clubs handcrafted about 250 bowls so that participants could keep a dish. People made a $15 donation. They were given a bowl of soup, bread and water. Pufferbelly`s, Papermoon, and Theodore`s donated soup. Proceeds benefit the Second Harvest Food Bank.
