Koehler Brewhouse Demolished
Demolition crews tore down the old brewhouse Saturday at the Koehler complex on State Street. A dozen bystanders said good-bye to the white brewhouse, the most historic building of Erie`s center city landmark. During the next several days, hundreds of truckloads of bricks will be hauled off the site to make room for the adjacent building to be demolished. It will take about a month to completely clear the sit. The foundation work on the new Koehler Brewery Square buildings is expected to begin in April. The anchor tenant will be Cornerstone Health Care Group of Austin, Texas.
