City Council Candidacy
One recently appointed city council member says he wants to stay on council for another term. Joe Schember was appointed last October to fill the vacancy left after the resignation of Lonny Gatlin in September. Thursday morning he is expected to announce his candidacy for re-election. Schember is also the chair of the finance committee. Schember will speak in council chambers Thursday morning to share his ideas of how to effectively manage the cities financial matters.
