Conneaut Lake Accident
Four people were injured and a portion of Route 322 in Crawford County was closed Thursday night following an accident in Conneaut Lake. Three cars were involved in the accident, which happened at around 7:45 p.m. Police say a Ford Mustang driven by 25-year old James Genaway was traveling at a high rate of speed when his car crossed into the opposite lane and crashed into a car driven by 21-year old Jessica Middleton. Upon impact, the Mustang broke into pieces. The occupant compartment slid into another car driven by 18-year old Justin Kelso. At least one person needed to be extricated from a car. Life Star was not able to respond to the scene due to bad weather. All three drivers and one passenger were taken to Meadville Medical Center immediately. Genaway and Middleton were later transported to Hamot Medical Center. The 13-year old passenger in Middletons car was taken to Childrens Hospital in Pittsburgh. Genaway is in serious condition this morning. No word yet on the condition of the others. Police are investigating the scene.
