Virginia Tech Shooter Identified

 We are learning more about the gunman who killed 33 people and the himself Monday in what is being called one of the worst massacres in U.S. history. At a news conference held Tuesday morning, school officials identified the gunman shoot as 23-year old Cho Seung-Hui. ABC News is reporting that the gunman left a note, several pages long. The note reportedly begin contains a phrase saying, "You caused me to do this," again this is according to ABC News. Cho, born in South Korea, was a legal resident here in the United States. He was a senior at Virginia Tech. Cho's identity was confirmed by matching fingerprints on the guns. They were compared to his immigration records. Meanwhile, the mourning process continues. Monday night Virginia Tech students held a candlelight vigil. Others were held on campus and in nearby communities. Flags here in Erie and around the United States will be flown at half-staff until Sunday, April 22nd in honor of the murdered students. The Virginia Tech shooting is being compared to a killing spree that took place at the University of Texas at Austin on August 1, 1966. That's when a gunman named Charles Whitman opened fire from the 28th floor of a campus tower killing 16 and injuring 31.
