The first annual Erie County teen driving championship was held Tuesday. The goal of the program is to promote safety among young drivers. Students from Villa Maria Academy, Harborcreek High School, Cathedral Prep, and Collegiate Academy all participated in the contest. They were required to complete a virtual skills test, a written exam, and a hands-on driving test.
Chris Buzas from Cathedral Prep took first place, followed by Matt Adambzyk from Villa Maria Academy. Collegiate Academy's Stephen Feasler was the third place winner. The top two students will move on to the state competition in Harrisburg on May 11th.
