One man is safe after a boating accident on Presque Isle Bay, but unfortunately another angler in the same vessel was not as lucky. Crews have been searching on ground and by air for a fisherman who didn't make it back to shore after the boat he was in capsized. Emergency responders and divers from across the area began scouring the waters of the Bay shortly before noon on Wednesday. The search focused on the area between the state park's third and fourth parking lots. West Lake fire department arrived first on the scene. They discovered that a 14-foot boat carrying two men capsized about 50 yards off shore. One of the men made it to land by hanging onto the vessel. At this time, the other man is still missing. A Coast Guard helicopter was also brought in to help with the search. The search has been called off for the night. Crews will resume searching Thursday morning. For now, officials are not releasing their names.
