WalMart Moving In, Residents Out

watch video
WalmartIt’s moving time for residents of an upper Peach Street Mobile Home Park. They’re being forced to make way for a new 30-Million Dollar Wal-Mart Superstore. It will be built on the site of Peachtree Place behind Steak ‘n Shake. It’s an emotional time for residents who live in the area, but Cullom Properties, the commercial developer for Wal-Mart told residents who live at the Peach Tree Mobile Home Park that if the commercial development took place that they would be forced to move and that's exactly what happened. Cullom properties did pledge 10-Thousand Dollars for residents to offset moving expenses. Cullom Properties did follow through on their promise. No word yet on when construction will begin.
