Development is thriving on one of the busiest streets in Erie County. At least four major projects are under construction along Peach St. The projects range from food and family fun, to health care and furnishing needs. At Peach and 54th Streets, developers are working on an expansion to Millcreek Community Hospital. The expansion will focus on the needs of senior citizens and include a brand new wellness center. At the intersection of Peach St. and Interchange Rd., Oak Express is also under construction. The furniture store is planning to move across the street and expand between Olive Garden and The Amish Buggy. There is also more food on the way. A Chick-fil-A is under constuction between Tim Horton's and Verizon Wireless. Lastly, more family entertainment is also in the works. Scott Enterprises is planning a wave pool as well as the construction of new family suites. Thirty suites should be completed by the fall. Developers have said they will continue to build as long as there is room. They said it will also bring jobs to the region.
