The Erie County Department of Health is encouraging you to immunize infants against vaccine preventable diseases by the age two. County officials say disease prevention is the key to public health. They encourage residents to prevent a disease rather than to treat it. Health officials say despite recent gains in childhood immunization coverage more than 20 percent of our nation's two year olds are still missing one or more of the recommended immunizations. If a parent or caregiver have no insurance or are under-insured, call the Erie County Department of Health for more information.
