The Benedictine Sisters celebrated Sunday as their newly renovated chapel was blessed. Bishop Donald Trautman was there to perform the rite of blessing and consecrate the new altar. Guests were given a tour of the chapel during and open house. The tour highlighted the architectural and liturgical elements of the chapel. Some of the renovations included replacing the chapel roof and ceiling, the addition of a baptismal symbol, upgrading electrical systems, and restoration of the interior. The heritage of hope capital campaign funded the renovations for the updated worship and prayer space at the monastery. Before renovations, the chapel had been closed since July 2006.
