Students from Corry High School were in Washington D.C. over the weekend vying for a national title. On Saturday and Sunday a team from Corry High School competed in the We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution national competition. The students took part in a simulated congressional hearing where they served as expert witnesses testifying on constitutional issues. Late Sunday night the kids learned that they fell short of the top 10, which will compete for the championship Monday night. Parents said they won't know their final placing until after the competition ends. The students will attend a banquet Monday night, where they could recieve special team awards. The team returns home Tuesday night.
