 An Erie man is now facing charges after an allegedly drunken and violent tirade against his dog.

Police arrested 41-year old Jeffery Gentile Sunday night on charges of disorderly conduct, public drunkenness and cruelty to animals.

Witnesses in Frontier Park told police Gentile was repeatedly throwing his dog into Cascade Creek and dunking the animal's head underwater. On lookers also told authorities at some point gentile even began kicking his Labrador.

Gentile was held at the Erie Police station until he sobered up. He now faces fines associated with those summary offenses.
