Motorcycle Crashes into Deer on I-79

watch video
A motorcycle went head on with a deer Monday night on I-79. The accident happened just shortly after 9:00 Monday night just south of the Kearsarge exit in the northbound lanes. The animal impacted the front of the motorcycle and hit the driver and passengers legs, causing injuries. The driver, Matthew Kretz, and his passenger, Jennifer Wyant, were taken to Hamot Medical Center for treatment. One northbound lane of I-79 was closed as crews cleaned up the mess, but has since been re-opened. Charges may be coming against Kretz, pending the results of a blood alcohol test.
