WalmartIt looks like a new Wal-Mart will be coming to Peach Street. The Erie Times-News reports that the deal has been sealed on the new construction project. Cullom Properties apparently closed on the sale Monday night. Construction on the new 30-million dollar store could begin by the end of summer 2007. The new store will be built behind Steak n Shake on what used to be Peachtree Place Mobile Home Park. Cullom Properties is hoping to finish the store by late 2008, but said it would definitely be complete in early 2009.
