Severe Weather Follow

Much of the region is cleaning up after severe storms swept through the area last night; knocking down power lines and trees.

Heavy rains and high winds, combined with lighting that could be seen for miles caused widespread damage across the area.

The hardest hit areas were parts of Crawford, Venango and Mercer counties. Some of the heaviest damage is in the Tamaruck Lake area Southeast of Meadville.

Reports from there say that almost a hundred trees are down, with some falling on homes.

Our David Belmondo is following the story. Click on our video link for his report.
