
Each year, this memorial service pays tribute to the men and women of law enforcement who have been killed in the line of duty.
This day also represents the founding of the Pennsylvania State Police.
Members and supporters of Eries Fraternal Order of Police say it is their way of saying "thank you" to those officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
This years ceremony took on extra special meaning. A stone was unveiled and dedicated. The stone will be place at the Franklin Station in honor of the three members who died in the line of duty. The stone will be moved to it’s permanent home on Thursday. In all, eight fallen officers were memorialized.
