Charities Help Klauk Family in Time of Need

watch video
A Millcreek Township couple who lost their home in a devastating fire on Saturday is receiving help from a local organization.

The Second Harvest Food Bank has stepped in to help the Klauk's just as they've done for the food bank for many years.

Herman Klauk has been generously serving the Second Harvest Food Bank since it opened in 1982.  Now, the charity organization is giving back to him and his wife in their time of need.

The Klauk's home on Arbuckle Road was destroyed in an early Saturday morning fire.  The Klauk's had lived in for more than 60 years.

Now , a hotel room is the only place they have to call home.

Herman and Helen Klauk have given much of their lives to local charities including the Second Harvest Food Bank, the Emmaus Soup Kitchen and SafeNet. Now ,as the Klauks figure out what to do next after losing their home and everything they owned, members of the food bank have decided to pitch in and give to Herman and his wife just as they've given to the organization.

You can make your donations to the Klauks through the Second Harvest Food Bank.  Any check donations should be made out to Herman and Helen Klauk.
