Former Cop Arrested

 A former Erie City policeman who is currently a resource officer for the Erie School district has been arrested on charges of assaulting a woman. 56-year old Walter Love was charged shortly after midnight with simple assault, harassment and public drunkenness. State police say Love punched 44-year old Anita Briska while she was sleeping. Briska suffered a cut to her face and her tooth was also knocked loose. The incident happened at a home on Walbridge Road in Harborcreek Township. Love was arraigned before District Justice Carol Southwick.
