Don't Be Alarmed, It's Only a Drill!

watch video
If you see flashing lights and hear police sirens near Central High School Monday afternoon -- don't panic! The district is holding a police training drill.

The scene at Central High School is pretty quite and not out of the ordinary, but around 1 O'clock that will change.

Students will become hostages and the entire building will be put on lock down

According to  Erie School Superintendent Dr. Jim Barker, this  was planned long before the Virginia Tech Massacre.

Again, the drill will begin just after 1 and will last about two hours. If you live in the area or are just passing by, please don't be concerned if you see what looks like a real emergency.

Our Sarah Arbogast will have more on this story at 5 and 6 on Action News 24.
