Stabbing Suspect Charged

Erie police have released the identity of a man in custody after a weekend stabbing. 29-year old Juan Arellano-Alvarez of Erie has been arrested on multiple charges, including criminal attempt at criminal homicide. The stabbing happened at just after midnight on Saturday, at a house in the one thousand block of East 9th street. According to reports, a 17 year old girl was stabbed 13 times. Alvarez was found along east 8th street after a brief search Saturday.
