watch video
One teenager is in the hospital after a car struck him while he was riding his bicycle Monday night. Police were called to the intersection of 18th Street and Myrtle just before 10:00 p.m. Erie Police say a car was traveling at a high rate of speed, when a 13-year old boy entered the intersection on his bike. The car had the right of way and did not see the boy. The boy was struck by the car and flung from his bike. He was transported to Hamot Medical Center and was in stable condition as of Tuesday morning. Police say he was not wearing a helmet.
