East 9th & Wayne Fire

A vehicle fire quickly turned into an hour long battle for firefighters in the city Wednesday night as they fought to save two homes. City firefighters were called to East 9th and Wayne Street Wednesday night shortly after midnight. They were quick to respond to the location, but the vehicle fire spread fast and ended up catching on the walls of two surrounding houses. Everyone inside the two homes were able to evacuate. Firefighters had the fire under control by 1:00 a.m. and were able to save the homes. The scene is now under investigation.
