Conneaut Park Awaiting Decision

watch video
The fate of Conneaut Lake Park is still hanging in the balance. We're waiting for word on a proposed grant that would help out the financially strapped park.

After a minor set-back on Friday, Conneaut Lake Park supporters are hoping to hear good news on Monday.

Conneaut Lake Park officials were supposed to announce Friday whether the park will be able to open for Memorial Day Weekend, but that announcement was delayed.

General Manager, George Deshner, says he hadn't received word yet as of Friday about a 104-thousand dollar grant.

The money would allow portions of the amusement park to open in time for the annual "Doo-Wop" weekend. Officials are hoping to find out about the grant on Monday.
