Voters Say OK to Alcohol

Residents in one Crawford County town may soon be wetting their whistles. In Tuesday's election, Saegertown residents voted yes to allowing alcohol at the American Legion Post 205. Because the borough is dry, the Legionnaires received special permission to put the question on the ballot. If approved by the Liquor Control Board, the Legion will be able to open a bar. The proceeds from the alcohol sales will go back into community programs, some of which were cut because of a major decline in bingo revenue.
