Three people are confirmed dead after a plane crash in Dunkirk, NY.

The crash happened at 9:36 a.m. one half mile west southwest of the Dunkirk Airport.

The Beech 55 Baron, a small two engine plane, left Canada for Wilmington, Delaware.

It experienced engine problems and requested clearance to land in Dunkirk.

The clearance was given, but the plane overflew the airport and crashed.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating. Stay tuned to Action News 24, Fox 66 and YourErie.com for all the latest information.
