Downtown Fire Hotel Scare

Someone called 9-1-1 this morning and reported the third floor of the the Downtown Erie Hotel at 18th and State was filling with smoke.

There was a haze when firefighters went into the building, but it wasn't smoke.

Someone discharged a dry chemical fire extinguisher.

That filled the hallway with dust. There was no fire.
