MS Walk

watch video
ms walkMultiple Sclerosis, or MS, is a disease that attacks the nervous system. It confines hundreds of thousands of Americans to their beds or to wheelchairs.

On Sunday people from all over the Erie area laced up their walking shoes to help find a cure in the 17th Annual MS Walk.

More than 300 walkers participated in a one, three, five or 10-mile walk around the city. They are trying to raise $100,000 for MS research and to help out MS patients in Northwestern PA.

Nearly 70 percent of MS patients are women. The cause of the disease is still unknown, but huge strides have been made recently in treatment of the disease.

JET-TV is a proud co-sponsor of the annual MS Walk.
