State police in Meadville are investigating two burglaries in which thieves got away with almost $10,000 worth of firearms, jewelry, and electronics.
Both incidents took place along Bullis Road in Linesville between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday.
In one residence they got away the following items:
Kimber classic 22cal. rifle with a Leopold 2-7 variable scope; a Browning Arms model 42 pump shotgun w/ 24" barrel; a Ruger 25-06 w/ Leopold 2-7 variable scope; a Benelli Super Black Eagle 12 gauge shotgun, camo colored; Thompson Center 50 cal. muzzle-loader; Century safe full of collectible Case, Benchmade, and Heckler & Koch knives
Those items were worth approximately $6800.
In the second residence thieves stole:
Ruger single six 22cal. revolver; Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun model 500; Large jewelry box containing passports, rings, necklaces, and earrings; Kodak digital camera; Mini-DVD camcorder; Dell laptop computer
Those items were worth approximately $3100.
