City Shooting

A love-triangle fight on the city's west side leads to gunfire and a cut phone line.

Officers were called to the area of West 23rd and Myrtle around one o'clock this afternoon for reports of gun fire.

When police arrived they found-out the resident of this home allegedly tried to stop an argument between his girlfriend and ex-girlfriend by shooting a gun in the air.

A bullet apparently split a telephone line and knocked out phone service for neighbors.

No one was hurt in the incident.  Charges are pending against the shooter.
