Erie Golf Club

It turns out the final dispute over Erie Golf Club will take place at the golf course itself on May 31st.

Erie County Judge Stephanie Domitrovich will hold closing arguments at the club, next thursday.

The city wants to sell the property as a golf course or as a residential development, if the deed restriction is removed.

Former Erie Mayor Rick Filippi who is a lawyer for the opponents, says the club was never intended to be sold to a developer and the deed restriction should not be lifted.

The city says the course loses money and has $2 million dollars of debt from renovations done last year.
