Mineo Drive Fire

Several volunteer fire companies were called to a home along Mineo Drive in Millcreek around 6:30 tonight.

The homeowners decided to take the chill off by lighting a fire but smoke backed up into the house.

Quick work by firefighters kept damage to a minimum.

If you do have a fireplace, get it checked out.

Soot buildup can cause a smoky problem and in some cases even more if that soot catches fire and spreads to the structure
