September 26, 2012 - A large amount of heroin was taken from an east side residence this morning during a drug bust.

A search warrant was served early this morning at 2023 Oneida Street.

27 year old Jessika Lomax of Erie and 38 year old Eddie Johnson III of Detroit were arrested and charged.

They are accused of selling heroin from that residence.

Officials also confiscated a small amount of marijuana and a large amount of cash.

Officials from the Bureau of Narcotics Investigation and Drug Control Unit say that the street value of the heroin that was confiscated is worth $25,000.

    It reportedly came from Detroit.

Officials say they aren't surprised, that drug trafficking from Detroit to Erie of heroin and cocaine is common.

"The heroin definitely was coming from Detroit and it's been coming into the area and our investigation led us right to this house," said Dennis Tobin, Bureau of Narcotics Investigation. "We feel that this was a distribution point in the city of Erie."

Edinboro Police, Girard Police, Lake City Police, Erie Police and the District Attorney's Drug Task Force all assisted with this drug bust.

Heroin is the biggest mistake you can make. The fact that these 2 scum have a thriving market here in Erie just goes to show how many idiots we have living in this town. It's loserama in trashcan Erie.
