Unpaid CRI Workers Hold Rally in Downtown Erie

watch video

SEPTEMBER 28, 2012-The rally cry from dozens of unpaid CRI workers and patients could be heard throughout downtown Erie today.

These workers are not being paid, being underpaid or being paid late by Christian
financial management.

And they want action taken.

Workers and patients started gathering outside of the Renaissance Centre early this morning.

These workers are upset and are hoping to raise awareness for worker's plight.

Personal care attendants say they are sick of being neglected.

They are waiting on Pittsburgh based Christian Financial Management to pay them for months of work.

These former employees hope today's rally will be a stepping stone in the right
direction.

The Department of Public Welfare worked with Christian Financial Management to pay these
employees... They ultimately fell behind.

Comments

I couldn't be at the rally, as I have been without a caregiver for over a month due to the payroll problems. I created a petition on change.org so that people like myself can make their voices heard. Anyone can sign to show their support! https://www.change.org/petitions/protect-pennsylvania-s-disabled-citizens-and-taxpayers
