Perry Square's Pink Fountain Represents Breast Cancer

watch video

Erie is painting the town pink to kick off breast cancer awareness month.

The fountain in Perry Square is our first reminder that October is time to remember breast cancer patients and raise awareness about the disease.

At the kick off event in downtown Erie survivors of breast cancer and those who lost loved ones to breast cancer shared stories with the crowd.

Today Mayor Joe Sinnott hosted the event where survivors and those affected by their stories gathered to come together for the cause.

Sinnott says other fountains across Erie will have pink water for the month of October.
