Mock Shooting Drill
It's hard
to imagine being trapped inside your school while an active shooter was
inside...
Students
in oil city got to experience what it would be like if a gunman opened fired in
their school...
Most
students don't go to school thinking about the possibly of a shooter opening
fire...
Police
arrive on scene as the school immediately goes into lock down mode. Only a few
minutes later... The two gunmen are taken down.
Multiple
students have been injured...a few in critical condition...but police are
leading them to safety.
Fire
departments and several ambulances make their way to the school...getting helpless
students out of harms way and transported to the hospital.
What
makes things easier for emergency crews is a triage...that helps move a number
of patients quickly.
And
the colored mats designate severity... Green being stable, yellow meaning
moderate injuries... And red meaning critical condition.
Unfortunately
in today's world... These kinds of events aren't uncommon. It's a scary
situation, but one everyone should be prepared for.
Over
100 students volunteered for this mock shooting, one student tells us she was
on lock down inside the school, and was told to be quiet and stay hidden.
