The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League have announced that they have acquired defenseman Spencer Abraham from the Brampton Battalion in exchange for a conditional sixth round draft pick in the 2014 OHL Priority Selection.

Abraham, born on March 18, 1993 in Campbellville, Ont., has played in four games with the Battalion this season, collecting a goal and an assist. He has played in two full seasons with the Battalion, accumulating 42 points (9g, 33a) in 116 games.

The left-handed shooting defenseman had an outstanding rookie year during the 2010-11 campaign, as he tallied six goals and 25 assists with the Battalion. Abraham was named as the Battalion's rookie of the year at the conclusion of the season.

Abraham will make his Otters debut at the home opener Friday night at 7:00 p.m. against his former team, the Battalion. The first 2,500 fans receive a magnetic schedule courtesy of UPMC Health Plan and Springhill Suites. For tickets, call 814-452-4857 or go to OttersHockey.com.
