Our Lady Of Peace Hosts Pet Blessings

watch video
There were more than just students at our lady of peace school today, a lot of pets were taken to class.

It's a tradition at Our Lady of Peace to commemorate the feast of Saint Francis of Assisi which is celebrated on October 4th.
Saint Francis was a lover of animals, and today the students brought their pets to the school for a special blessing.

Dogs, cats,  birds  and even turtles were part of the ceremony.  The kids are very excited that they get to bring their pets to school and get to see each others animals.

This is the 7th year for the blessing of the pets at Our Lady of Peace
