Overcrowding Prompting Mass Euthanasia At Local Animal Shelters
Overcrowding at local animal
shelters means many homeless pets could end up being put down.
At the Ashtabula County Animal
Protective League that will lose their life as overcrowding continues to plague
the shelter.
Vice President of the organization
Dr. Irene Fiala says they are at a mass euthanasia status at the shelter with
room for only 80 dogs.
They are at 150 percent of that capacity
and Fiala urges pet owners to get their 4 legged friends spayed or neutered.
And in Erie, at the ANNA Shelter, a low kill
shelter, the organization is a similar capacity situation and says the same
thing.
