Otters Fans Adapt to Changes at Erie Insurance Arena

watch video

OCTOBER 5, 2012- Change is under way and Erie Otters fans are adapting to the $45 million dollar changes at the Erie Insurance Arena.

More than 3,400 fans poured into the arena for the season opener as the Otters defeated the Brampton Battalion 5-1.
Fans were eager to see the drastic changes thus far.

Fans say the most evident change was the concourse.  Before, it was dimly lit and crowded.  Now, it's more spacious and easier to navigate.

And despite the tarp that hangs over the west side of the arena, fans say temperatures were okay.

But some fans say they weren't impressed with the changes they could see inside the arena, saying not much had actually been completed.

Regardless, fans say they are excited to have the Otters back home.
