CSXT Police Tear Down Tent City

October 11, 2012 - Wednesday was the deadline for the residents of tent city to pack up and move out, but a few were still there this morning.

    CSX Transportation Police were on scene around 10:40am making sure they were out.

    The encampment along the CSX railroad at the foot of Chestnut and 14th Streets was still visible.

    According to official, there were three people at the site this morning when police arrived.

    Officials say the residents were cooperating with police and moving the last of their belongings.

    Contractors were on scene from Puline and Sons to tear down the structures.
