GE Workers Set To Walk!
The company and the United Electrical Workers Union opened contract negotiations on May 21st in New York City.
Union officials say the walkout is to demonstrate solidarity among the rank and file. Third shift will leave work at 3 am on Wednesday morning.
First shift will walk out at 11 in the morning and the second shift is set to walk out at 7 Wednesday evening.
The work stoppages will last for four hours. UE 506 has also scheduled a rally for plant workers at 2 pm Saturday at the Erie Civic Center.
