Firefighters Visit Pfeiffer-Burleigh

watch video

October 18, 2012 - Students at Pfeiffer-Burleigh got a special visit this morning from some Erie firefighters.

The students were excited to learn about fire safety skills and, of course, take a walk through the fire truck.

The firefighters were at the school for Fire Prevention Month.

Students in kindergarten through 2nd grade learned several safety tips.

"I had them say 9-1-1 several times, that's how they get help, whether it's going to be a firefighter to come over like us or a police officer or medical problem that's how they get help," said Lt. Dan Jerioski.

When the students were asked if they wanted to be firefighters when they grew up, several raised their hands and said "yes!"
