EPD Charge 3 From Overnight Shooting

    - Erie police took three individuals into custody last night after shots were fired on the city's east side.

    Nathanial Butler, 22, Gregg Redding Jr., 27, Carmen Payne, 22, face charges stemming from that incident.

    Butler and Redding are charged with aggravated assault and firearms violations.

    Payne is charged with conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.

    Shots were reportedly fired around 3 o'clock this morning in the 300 block of East 33rd Street.

No injuries were reported.
