Perry Elementary Wins Bread Box Award
10-18-12 It's been 24 years since the 2nd Harvest Food Bank began handing out the Bread Box Awards and since then, the need to feed the hungry continues to grow and fortunately, so does the list of people wanting to help.
A luncheon was held this afternoon at the Food Bank to recognize groups and individuals that host food drives and fundraisers to help stock the shelves at the Food Bank.
Students at Perry Elementary School were this years Bread Box winners for the many fundraisers they held to raise money and food for 2nd Harvest, a challenge that grows every year.
The food bank provides food for 75 thousand people every year.
