Pittsburgh Man Gets Life For Highpoint Towers Murder

David  A. Fry, a 34-year-old man from Pittsburgh, pled guilty today in Erie County Court to second-degree murder and has been sentenced to a mandatory life prison term.

 

Fry was accused of bludgeoning to death a 36-year-old- Matthew Lyons at Highpoint Towers back on March 24th.

 

Fry beat Lyons to death with a statue at Lyon's apartment after robbing him.

 

Fry also pleaded guilty to simple assault and other charges stemming from a crime spree prior to his killing of Lyons. He received an additional 11 to 22 years for these charges.

Typical lack of information for this website. Why was this man in Erie? How long was he in Erie? Should we truly consider him as being from Pittsburgh? What was his connection to the victim? Not much to go on from this scant amount of information.
