Erie/Millcreek Schools Will Be CLOSED Tuesday
As a precaution due to the severe weather, Erie School District and Millcreek Township School District officials say schools will be CLOSED TUESDAY.

I think this is a smart move I wouldnt send my kid out in this condition. My house keeps shaking!

When I was a kid, school closings were only issued in the event of an extremely severe snowstorm or other equally disastrous event. As of this posting, most of the Erie area is only experiencing rain and moderate winds. Why was the decision made to close the schools? I don't feel that this was necessary or warranted, given the circumstances.
