Community Action Plan For The City Of Erie

watch video

The City of Erie is trying to take a stand against crime and violence... By coming up with a plan to band the community together...

Officials are concerned with the disorganization in our community... They believe working together to come up with a long term plan could be a solution.

Officials are worried about the future of Erie... With more and more crimes happening involving teens and young adults... It was time for the leaders in our community to take a stand.

District Attorney Jack Daneri tells us his office and the police department along with different organizations, like neighborhood watch groups and mothers against teen violence have been working on a three pronged plan dealing with the dysfunction of our community and factors that negatively affect Erie.

The plan talks about disorganization, family conflict, and parental attitudes...

Daneri says there's not enough opportunities for kids to do positive things in the community... And when they do, they're not rewarded for it.

Comments

Since when is there not enough opportunity for kids to do positive things? That's a poor excuse. There are things they can do every day.
